Obsessed Much?

I don’t want to brag or anything, but I don’t really have any vices. I don’t need caffeine in the morning to function, I don’t smoke, and finally, I can quite comfortably, go months without having a sip of alcohol. The words ‘have to have’ rarely slip out of my mouth…with one very blatant exception…shoes. How I wish I wasn’t such a forgone conclusion, and I can’t even put my finger on when my obsession began, but shoes are just something that have always held a special place in my heart. Shoes of all things! Why?! Why do so many women go ape over shoes?

I’m not going to divulge how many pairs of shoes I have for fear of incriminating myself. I’m fairly sure my better half is on his hands and knees right now, rooting through my closet, doing the calculations. Thank goodness for secret hiding spots! (Just kidding babe..er…sort of!) If I think really hard, my collection saw it’s first major boost after my second trip to New York City a few years back. I stumbled across a department store called Century 21 which ended up being five floors of pure retail bliss. Name a designer label, and not only was it on the racks, but it was something ludicrous, like 80% off! If that wasn’t like finding the holy grail, I discovered that its shoe department was in fact, a three floor store unto itself. Three glorious floors of steeply discounted Nine West, Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik, Ralph Lauren, Betsy Johnson and whatever else your little feet desired. Needless to say, I came home with an armload of boxes, and I’ve been a self-confessed shoe addict ever since! But in all fairness, shopping in the big apple will do that to anyone, right?

It’s not like a woke up this morning and decided I would just randomly share my dirty little secret with the world, I was inspired by my good friend Chantal, who recently wrote about her latest purchases on JustFab, an inexpensive shoe club that sadly, I’ve converted her to! So in the spirit of sharing, I thought I would share my purchases over the last couple of months and let my readers know that if you’re looking for affordable, on trend shoes, 100% of the time, I’ve personally had great success with every single pair they’ve sent me. The sizing has been bang on, all of my shoes are in one piece, and if you know what materials are more likely to stand the test of time (not faux suede or cheap patent faux leather), you can’t really go wrong!
